Election Day at Linden Hall

Linden Hall resort is located in southwest PA about 40 miles south of Pittsburgh and 20 miles north of Morgantown, West Virginia along PA State Route 51. It is owned by the United Steel Workers union.

Election day was an ideal golf day, temperature about 55 degrees, no wind but a little drizzle. Bob, Frank, Chuck and Ron (all pharmacists) started around 10am, our first distraction was a few deer in the left sand trap on # 2. On the par 5 number 4 Frank was getting ready to hit his fairway shot when a loud shot came from woods to right side of fairway. Frank dubbed his shot. All the woods had posted signs NO HUNTING . We kept seeing a hunter in bright orange hunting gear riding in the woods.

The peak of the day was hole #10 a sharp dog leg to right. Chuck decided to go over trees on his second shot, hit the top of tree by the green and ball bounced on green and in hole for a birdie.

#18 hole is par 4 sharp dog leg left with lake surrounded by stone and a fountain in the center. Ron hit his second shot into the lake and it glazed off the stone onto the green about 3 foot from the hole. Needless to say Ron sunk the putt for a birdie and won the match from Bob, Frank and Chuck
