The 2 Person Team Skins game starts Monday, August 31 and runs through the Fall. The event is a 5:15 PM shotgun start.

Format: Two person team – Captain Choice / Best Ball / Texas Scramble (Rotation)

Cost: $25 includes 9-Holes / Cart / & Entry Fee ($5 / Game & $5 Skins)

Captain Choice: Each team will tee off from respective tees. Players will select the best tee shot and play from that position. The process will repeat until the ball is holed.

Best Ball: Each player will play their own ball from tee to green and hole out. The lowest score from the team will be recorded as the score.

Texas Scramble: Each player will tee off from respective tees. Players will select the best tee shot and play from that position. After hitting the second shot both players will play their own ball into the hole. The player who has the lowest score will record his score for the team score

Each Monday a rotation in format will be played. Teams will play with gross scores only (no net).

Tees:

Professionals – Blue Tees

Amateurs
Women – Red Tees

Jr Golfers – 10-15 Gold Tees

Men – 16-64 White Tees

Seniors – 65-78 Gold/White Tees

Super Senior – 78 & Up Gold Tees

Prize Breakdown: Overall Winner will take a split of the prize money. Scores will be split in half of the amount of teams for the event. The half way cut will win 2nd place. Any ties for the split will be a match of cards on the hardest handicap holes.

Skins will be given to the team who has the lowest score out of the group on a hole. (No Ties) If no skins are won the money will carry over to the next week.

It was recently announced that The Quicken Loans National will stay in the DC area for the 2017 season. The tournament will be played at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in 2015 and at Congressional Country Club in 2016.

The Quicken Loans National raises funds for the Tiger Woods Foundation and local charities, while paying tribute to our armed forces.

“My foundation is deeply committed to the D.C. area with our three learning centers and Earl Woods Scholarship Program students,” Tiger Woods, a two-time Quicken Loans National champion, said in a release. “We are excited to take the Quicken Loans National to another top course in the area that will challenge our strong field.”

TPC Potomac has undergone significant changes since it last hosted the Kemper Open in 2006. Major changes have been made to the course, all with the intention of bring the PGA Tour back. The 2010 Constellation Senior PLAYERS Championship and the Web.com Tour’s Mid-Atlantic Championship in 2012 and 2013 have been played at TPC Potomac since the renovations and the course has received positive reviews from the players.
