Well, I managed to sneak out of the house for a weekend round on a hot but not humid early August day and looked forward to playing some family golf.

I did remember many of the holes and being a much better(?) golfer now (or is it more experienced?) than I was back then, managed to get around pretty good on this day. The holes I remembered as being quite challenging were #12 which is a par 4 that requires a precise (and not too long) tee shot followed by a mid-long iron over the water to a pretty tight green. On to #13 which is a pretty long uphill par 5 but certainly birdie-able (J) if you hit 3 quality shots!

The course was a little dry and some of the fairways had some brown spots but it was certainly playable and we had a relaxing, fun day on this track. The greens were a little slower than most but rolled pretty true and certainly allowed some of mine to drop!

I also noticed the Waggle Golf Pass on sale on the counter as a discounted price. South Hills has a pretty nice special in the pass which you can use every day of the week so stop by and pick one up – you’ll save money the first time you use it!

Oh yeah, they have a bar with beverages too – which I highly recommend!
