Once again Congressional Country Club proved to be a tough test of golf. It played like a US Open course (which was nice to see after this years Open) with only five players managing to break par at the Quicken Loans National.
In a sudden death playoff Justin Rose beat Shawn Stefani to win his sixth PGA Tour victory. Rose who has been playing well lately (6 finishes T-14 or better in last eight events) nearly gave it away as he bogeyed the final hole to open the door for Stefani. But he grabbed it right back with a par on the first playoff hole after Stefani hooked his second shot into the pond at the front of the green.
Justin is now a two time winner of this event. Tiger Woods has also won this golf tournament twice but wasn’t able to make a run at three after failing to make the cut this weekend.
Here’s how the top of the leaderboard looked at the end of the Quicken Loans National.

It was a great week for PGA Tour golf here in the DC area and as usual the Tiger Woods Foundation put on a fantastic event. We hope you had the chance to catch some of the action at Congressional.
