The Virginia State Golf Association (VSGA) and Middle Atlantic Section of the PGA (MAPGA) of America have developed a “GOLFER” specialty license plate in conjunction with the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles.
Before moving to the General Assembly for formal approval, the two organizations must collect 350 prepaid applications (by Dec. 31, 2010) so golfers across the commonwealth can proudly display their love for the game.
Monies raised by this program will go to VSGA junior golf initiatives and the MAPGA Scholarship Fund.
The cost of the “Virginia Golfer” plate is $25 and personalized plates are an additional $10. Once the bill is offered and passed, the plate will become a part of the DMV portfolio.
So tell all your golfing buddies to get their applications in soon. This is a time-sensitive project, you must order your plates by Dec. 31, 2010.
Also, let us know if you happen to be aware of who has the custom license with the word WAGGLE. We tried to get it recently but it was already taken 🙁
