High school Seniors and aspiring Virginia college students, the VSGA-VIP Scholarship Foundation is again going to be awarding merit and need-based scholarships as well as turf grass study awards.
The scholarships are awarded annually to Virginia high school students who have an interest in golf and wish to attend an institution of higher learning in the Commonwealth. Applications are open to any Virginia high school senior in good standing who has been domiciled in Virginia since Sept. 1, 2011. Additionally, candidates must be in good academic standing at any high school or equivalent-level institution acceptable to the VSGA-VIP Scholarship Foundation.
The VSGA-VIP Scholarship Foundation funds scholarships, primarily through the VSGA VIP Card Program, to worthy Virginia high school students with an interest in golf. The awards are conditional on students’ good progress in academics. Criteria for the awards are an active interest in golf (ability not important), academic achievement, citizenship, character and financial need.
