Patriot Golf Day Weekend, August 29 – Sept. 1, 2014, is an annual event to collect donations for the Folds of Honor Foundation which provides scholarships to children and spouses of military men and women killed or disabled while serving our great nation.
Golfers throughout the country are encouraged to donate just $1 when they play Labor Day weekend. Many courses offer additional opportunities to make larger donations in exchange for rounds of golf, golf discounts, or raffles.
After seeing the reality families face when a loved one in uniform is killed or wounded, Major Dan Rooney committed to spend his life changing the future of America’s grieving spouses and children. In 2007, he formed the Folds of Honor Foundation; a 501C-3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities to the families of these heroic Americans.
Visit the Folds Of Honor’s Patriot Golf Day website to find participating courses near you. And please support the Folds of Honor Foundation when you golf this weekend.
