In partnership with the PGA, the U.S. Kids Golf Family Course Program allows kids and beginners the ability to play golf from appropriate yardages that give the golfer the confidence of shooting closer to par and the comfort of keeping up with pace of play.
Hilltop Golf Club in Alexandria, VA will soon be designated a “US Kids Family Course”.
Hilltop will be installing two levels of additional tees marked by US Kids Tee plates to each hole in front of their existing tees this spring. The goal of this program is to make the course more family friendly, allowing kids and beginners the ability to play from appropriate yardages. Everyone will now have the chance to make more pars and birdies, keep up the pace of play and have a more enjoyable experience.
There are many benefits of having US Kids Family Courses. Pace of play is improved with families or kids. Kids and all beginners have more fun by shooting low scores. Thus, kids and beginners will be more likely to continue playing the game and help grow the game of golf.
Hilltop will be joining many other area courses, including South Riding, Twin Lakes, Falls Road, Swan Point, East Potomac and Langston, that meet the U.S. Kids Golf Family Course criteria.
